Questions and Answers Regarding the Santa Claus, Inc. Christmas Distribution:

Where are you located?
DO NOT USE GPS for directions. We are located at 824 E. Sixth Street, San Bernardino, between Waterman and Tippecanoe.


What criteria do I have to meet?
Santa Claus, Inc. serves children from newborn to 12 years old during the Christmas Distribution. Children on free and reduced lunch 
are eligible to receive services at Christmas. In addition, children in dire circumstances throughout San Bernardino and Riverside Counties will be served at Christmas through Youth Enrichment Services (Yes!) in collaboration with other nonprofit organizations. 

What area do you serve at at Christmas Holiday Distribution?
Santa Claus, Inc. currently serves children in the following School Districts.

       San Bernardino Unified School District
       Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District

How can I get an application?
Please ask your school or Social Worker for a Christmas Distribution application. We do not give out applications directly to parents.

If I filled out a Christmas Distribution application last year will I automatically have an appointment this year?
No. You must fill out a new Christmas Distribution application every year for an appointment card.

How many kids can I add to my Christmas Distribution application?

You may only request the child(ren) you have custody of in your household between newborn to 12 years old.

What if I am pregnant?
If you are due before March 2020 then please write newborn on the application.


What is my file number or SAR number?
You have received our application through the welfare office. We do not know what these numbers are and do not need them for our records. Please just leave them blank.

I received my application by mail but lost the envelope?
Please mail your application to

When do I have to turn in the application?

Please turn in your application as soon as possible but no later than October 2nd, 2019 to the agency from which you received the application.

After I filled out my application, how do I know if I will be receiving gifts?

If selected you will receive an appointment card by mail with a scheduled appointment date and time.

What will I receive at my
Christmas Distribution appointment?
After checking in, you will be able to choose an outfit, a bagged toy, and a new book for each child between the ages of newborn to 12 years old. We also offer a limited amount of used books for children and adults.

If I cannot make my appointment can I send someone else in my place?

Yes. The person will need to bring (1) a note written from you stating that he/she can pick up items for you and (2) he/she must bring ID. It must be signed by person on appointment card.  Please give the person picking up the gifts the clothing sizes of your children.

Do I need to bring anything to my
Christmas Distribution appointment?
You will need to bring your appointment card and ID. We ask that you bring a large bag (black trash bag) to carry items. We do not allow rolling baskets, carts, etc. inside the warehouse. You may leave them outside at your own risk.

Can I bring my children or someone with me to my appointment?

We do not allow more than one person per appointment card in the warehouse. We do not allow children of any age on the Santa Claus, Inc. property.

What happens if I move?

Please call (909) 885-0090 with your name, phone number, old address and new address. We will make every effort to make the changes to your new address.  However, please have your post office forward your mail to new address. If your appointment card is returned to us before the end of our Christmas distribution, we will call you to reschedule.

When will I receive my appointment card?

We will be mailing our appointment cards no later than November 27th, 2019.

What happens if I did not receive an appointment card?

If you did not receive an appointment card by December 10th, 2019, please stop by our warehouse during our
Holiday Distribution dates and we will look up your information to see if you have an appointment. We will need your ID and the application information to check for your appointment. We try to give every application an appointment. However, we have a certain number of appointments slots. We do not accept applications during distribution.


I received a text?

Please come on your scheduled date and time.  We will need your ID and the application information to assist your with your appointment.

What happens if I miss my Christmas Distribution appointment?
We have 85 people per half hour scheduled, which makes our scheduled time very sensitive to change. However if you or someone representing you cannot make your appointment, please call and let us know.

What happens if I received 2 or more
Christmas Distribution appointment cards?
Please bring both cards with you and let us know that you have a duplicate card. We need to fill every appointment card and coming more than once will take away from other children in need. Also if we find that you have come more than once for our Christmas Distribution in the same year you will be unable to receive future serves.

Application says, "How many years has Santa Claus Inc helped you?"

If you have received gifts in previous years, count which years you have received gifts and put down the total. Example: 2012 yes, 2013 no, 2014 yes = total years 2

How do I volunteer during
Christmas Distribution? 
Recipients may not volunteer during years that they receive gifts for their children.
 If you are not receiving gifts please call 909-885-0090 to volunteer.

 Please Note:
  • We do not allow the use of cell phones in the warehouse and you will be asked to leave if we see you using them. Please turn them off before entering the warehouse.
  • Every person that helps you during your time at Christmas Distribution is a volunteer. Please be respectful and considerate.
  • If you request a Spanish speaker for your appointment you may have a longer wait.
  • During the dates of distribution our phone lines are busy, so please stop by our warehouse for any questions or concerns you have.
